I have been a DJ since the age of 13. I fell in love with spinning and mixing music when I was introduced to it by my uncle who produced music for runway shows in NYC. When I started CT Party Pros in 1999, I had already been working for other entertainment companies for close to ten years, and wanted to raise the level of sophistication Disc Jockeys were bringing to the wedding and special events industry. I knew I could offer a higher quality of service and wider variety of entertainment, combining live music and performance along with disc jockeys. As the scope of work we were doing grew at resorts and casinos, both in and out of Connecticut, we began to grow our crew to offer these same services to our wedding clientele.
CT Party Pros has installed and operate our event lighting in 7 ballrooms at a few of Connecticut’s top venues. Because of the partnership with such properties as Waterview, Anthony’s Ocean View and Riverview, we are able to once again to offer a superior product at an incredible value.
Introducing Studio 8. A private nightclub available only for private parties. We dreamed of having an office and showroom large enough to show our capabilities with our full range of service and now have a 5,600 sq ft. space we rent out for private events for up to 250 guests. We finally have a space large enough to do anything we can dream up – without the limitations of the venue or set up time.

"Prior to my move to Cape Cod, I worked at the Water’s Edge Resort & Spa for 17 years as both their Director of Catering as well as their Wedding Sales Manager. I have personally coordinated just over 1900 weddings at the Water’s Edge. Years and years ago, Jason and Jeff from CT Party Pros were hired to DJ for one of my brides. As a wedding coordinator I look for many things in a DJ…….do they know how to emcee a wedding (ie wedding etiquette and protocol regarding introductions of the bridal party, introducing guests to speak/ toast, formal order of events, etc.), do they pack the dance floor, how well do they interact with guests, how well do my brides and grooms like them. CT Party Pros impressed me from the very first wedding. I watched and listened and was absolutely impressed….something that is hard to do to a wedding coordinator after so many years!! After working with them for a few weddings, I began to refer them. Jennifer, this truly was years and years ago and since then, they have never faltered, they have never let me or one of my brides down!! I am always happy to recommend them because I know that my clients will be in the very best of hands, that they will have the “party” that they always dreamed it would be. I know that when CT Party Pros is on property, my job becomes so much easier because they are professionals in every sense of the word.
~ Not only did they DJ hundreds and hundreds of weddings for me at the Water’s Edge, my colleagues also hired them for our very demanding corporate groups and social events.
~ In addition to DJ services, CT Party Pros also provides wonderful live entertainment (strings, jazz, etc) for your ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner music. They have also provided live bands for entire receptions. In recent years, lighting in ballrooms has become incredibly popular and Jason has also incorporated lighting into his repertoire. In fact, I will often recommend him to clients who are just looking for specialty lighting. It adds an amazing element to every function space that I have seen.
~ Some of my clients have provided them with very strict song lists and they absolutely honored that without straying while others (most I would say) would give them a list of several “must play” songs and “do not play” songs and have let them improvise to the crowd. I have to say that they do both exceedingly well. I always tell my brides to trust the professionals that they hire. We know what works and what doesn’t work……it is years and years of learning…….let your professionals do their work. That’s what you pay them for!!
~ In all of the years that I have recommended CT Party Pros, I am ecstatic to tell you that I have never heard one negative comment or feedback about them!!
~ Their set is very modern (sleek and slim) and completely unobtrusive…..the very best equipment I’ve seen. I don’t ever remember seeing a sign in front of their set-up.
In closing, I cannot think of a better way to tell you how enthusiastically I recommend CT Party Pros other than to tell you that I was married at Water’s Edge on July 17thof this year. Just about each and every DJ in the state of Connecticut….those I recommended and even those that I did not……were so excited for me and all offered to provide the music for my ceremony, cocktail reception and reception. I chose Jason and CT Party Pros. They were amazing!! Jason provided a three piece classical string trio for my ceremony by the beach, a compilation of Cape Verdian music for my cocktail reception, a three piece live band throughout dinner and then DJ’ing for the rest of the night. He provided lighting throughout the ballroom that was absolutely amazing. It was perfect!! It was everything I dreamed it would be!! I would not change a thing, a moment!! I danced from the moment I entered the ballroom to the moment that he played the last song!! I cannot think of a better way to recommend them to you. You would be in the very best of hands!! "

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for everything. The Wedding was wonderful and we loved everything. All of our guests can not stop talking about that night. I have to tell you - my father didn't want to pay for any of it and it was a challenge to get him to sign those checks for you....but the best part was not only seeing his face when he saw the room but to hear him tell me after wards - Dana that was the best and the fabric, couches and lighting MADE the night!!!!! :) So thank you for making my father as happy as we were.
We just recently got back from Hawaii and are still trying to catch up with work and our own lives so I didn't want you to think that I forgot about you. :) I hope we are able to work together again on something...maybe my brother's wedding! :)

"Actually my daughter saw their website as it was linked to the Water's Edge. We called him and met and liked his style. He provided a guitarist for cocktail hour (very well received), DJ services and a video (my daughter actually was married on Block Island and had a reception at Water's Edge a week later...he put the pics together and made a nice presentation).
We asked for a party atmosphere with a wide selection of songs. Jason clearly provided that. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was always full.
I highly recommend him. He did a very nice job for us. Very professional and knows his stuff. He will help you with the theme and can base your song choice on that if you wish. He'll follow your lead.

I work for Yale-New Haven Hospital so the functions that CT Party Pros does for us are corporate. I too found them on the internet. I have used Jason as a DJ for a walkathon for the hospital and he did a great job. In addition, he did a fair for me on the New Haven Green and did a great job. They have also provided a classical trio for a donor event for us. I would definitely recommend his services. He is reliable. He is fair in his pricing and is very easy to work with. I have not asked him to do an event where I have provided a playlist - HOWEVER, I have him booked for an event next month where I asked him to do just that. I am confident he will adhere to the songlist that I provide.

For 2 people who work full time in finance and who have very little free time, my fiancee (now Hubby) and I knew we needed someone who could put together the perfect event, and with minimal handholding. We also wanted to enjoy our family and friends on our wedding day, and not be not sweating over the details!
We spoke to over the phone and/or met with 5-10 different planners in the area, but despite the ($)thousands they were asking for, we were not at all impressed with what they could provide in return, and resolved to do it on our own.
I called Jason at CT Party Pro's to talk about using them for lighting and I was so happy with his energy, knowledge, feedback, and services that we hired them to do our entire event! He is a walking wealth of ideas, resources, websites, pictures, and works very well under pressure! We were so appreciative/relieved/grateful that we never had to chase him down, he was always on top of everything. He created and implemented the entire design including the perfect lighting and furniture, and took care of our DJ, MC, & Florist.
We got so many compliments from our guests (many revealed to us after the wedding it was the best they had ever been to!) and we were extremely happy with the outcome. Given the time they spent on our wedding and given their resources and affiliations, we we easily saved a ton of money by working through them.
We got the "WOW" factor we were looking for, and the entire day went perfectly--We can't thank Jason enough!
